Becca is the owner and lead designer of Black Begonia Floral Design, a boutique Rhode Island wedding florist creating refined, artful florals for celebrations across Newport, Providence, and coastal New England.

Her connection to flowers began early, growing up in Richmond, Rhode Island surrounded by gardens filled with peonies, lilacs, hydrangeas, and climbing clematis. Those quiet, formative moments—watching seasons change and beauty unfold naturally—continue to influence her work today.

At fifteen, she discovered floral design almost by accident, enrolling in a class that quickly revealed both a natural instinct and a deep creative pull. Under the guidance of a mentor who recognized her potential, she immersed herself in the craft—assisting with designs, refining her technique, and eventually creating her first wedding at just sixteen.

Her path led her to study Public Relations at the University of Rhode Island and later to New York, where she worked within established floral studios and event companies, gaining experience in luxury floral design and large-scale events. Along the way, she was mentored by talented women who helped shape both her artistic perspective and her vision for building something of her own.

In 2020, Becca returned to Rhode Island and founded Black Begonia Floral Design. What began as a creative leap soon evolved into a sought-after boutique studio. Today, she works closely with each couple from initial concept through installation, taking on a limited number of weddings each season to ensure every design feels deeply considered, cohesive, and personal.

Her work is defined by a balance of romance and intention—florals that feel natural yet elevated, expressive yet refined.
